Teledyne Hastings thermocouple tubes, sensors
Durham Instruments is the top Canadian source for innovative test and measurement products for industrial use by Teledyne Hastings. This U.S. manufacturer has a worldwide reputation for its broad variety of high-quality vacuum and gas mass-flow solutions – and offers thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes and sensors in three distinct categories.
The selection comprises three types of thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes and sensors that all provide accurate measurement and vacuum control: the original DV-4 and DV-6 models, and the DV-5 range.
With THI thermopile sensors
These precision sensing instruments have been reputed for their high dependability for more than 60 years of international success. Teledyne Hastings fully compensates these thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes and sensors for temperature and rate of temperature change, and each model employs the rugged yet sensitive and time-tested THI thermopile sensor. The short, firmly connected thermocouples have no suspended welds to external heaters, and their lifespans are extended via proprietary tooling and process-control improvement.
Reliable and repeatable, these devices have stable calibration, rugged construction, and non-contaminating design as major advantages. The typical gauge tube includes a hermetically sealed base with glass, stainless steel- and nickel-plated parts, and a colour-coded label. It functions at a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celsius and has a maximum pressure of 150 psig. Teledyne Hastings offers the following three series of thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes and sensors:
These tubes and sensors are versatile devices that work for such applications as vacuum insulators, freeze drying, transformer oil refills, and pharmaceuticals. Durham Instruments recommends them for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, education, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
