The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector by SMT

Durham Instruments makes world-class measurement devices by SMT Elektronik available in Canada – like the MONI LOG MicroShockDetector, for example. This is a unique, compact, lightweight shock logger weighing only 180 grams, but storing a large amount of data reliably. This unit is smaller than a standard cell phone.

Able to record the 200 highest shock events with curve plots, the MONI LOG MicroShockDetector stores up to ten of this plots for the highest shocks.

Substitute for more expensive loggers

High-sensitivity instruments require safe, demonstrable protection during transport or storage. Examples include large, superconducting magnets for medical applications. This shock logger offers a limit-value monitoring function that make it an ideal substitute for more expensive, high-end data loggers with the same measurement information.

The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector reliably stores all shock data in three axes, sets collected info into acceleration classes, supplies curve plots, and activates an LED alarm when it surpasses limit values during constant temperature monitoring. The device also includes a switch-on time that is easy to configure. The user can read, configure, and evaluate all of the data on a PC with the assistance of the USB support.

One can mount and remove this SMT shock logger quickly by using its adhesive pad, screws, or the supplied set of magnetic adhering feet. Using the MicroShockDetector only once is justifiable, on the basis of the good environmental and economical parameters. Other features and advantages of this MONI LOG instrument:

  • smart signal filtering and evaluation;
  • user-friendliness and easy operation;
  • long operational time, independent of mains;
  • licence-free computer software for configuration and assessment; and
  • customized configuration for recording time span over Start-Stop period.

In addition, this unit has an IP67 protection rating and can operate in temperatures from -40 to 65 degrees Celsius, with a maximum level of relative humidity of 98 per cent. Its base is made from stainless steel, its housing plastic.

The MicroShockDetector is a versatile device, and Durham Instruments recommends it for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, the military, power generation, alternative energy, and transportation.
