The TT420 series by Electro-Sensors
Durham Instruments carries the broadest selection of test and measurement solutions in Canada and partners with such internationally renowned manufacturers as Electro-Sensors Inc. The TT420 series of industrial temperature sensors by Electro-Sensors, for instance, comprises innovative instruments designed to monitor temperature on a wide variety of equipment – including such examples as conveyors, bearings, bucket elevators, motors, gearboxes, pumps, turbines, fans, curing ovens, centrifuges, agitators, tanks, and hammer mills.
Adaptors and fittings available
These temperature sensors are compatible with standard two-wire 4-20mA current loops and analog inputs. Each unit in the TT420 series combines a sensor, a signal conditioner, and a two-wire loop-powered 4-20mA transmitter into one compact and rugged package. Electro-Sensors application specialists are available to customize these devices to meet specific needs if they do not fit unique client requirements. Adaptors and fittings are also available, as accessories.
Electro-Sensors manufactures three models of these temperature sensors. The TT420F model mounts onto any flat surface with a #10 machine screw, and the TT420S can screw into any surface with a ¼-inch 28 tap. The third model, the TT420Z, mounts into 1/8- or ¼-inch NPT grease-fitting (zerk) taps. The TT420 series has been approved to applicable standards by Underwriters Laboratories in Canada and the United States as intrinsically safe for use in Class I (Groups C and D) and II (Groups E, F, and G), when used with an approved I.S. barrier.
Common features of these three TT420 models include the following:
Because the TT420 series of temperature sensors works on a broad range of equipment, it is highly useful in a wide variety of industrial markets. The Durham Instruments team recommends them for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, education, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
