The Gom ARAMIS SRX three-dimensional camera

Gom’s industrial solutions are available via Durham Instruments. This includes the ARAMIS SRX three-dimensional camera system – a high-resolution camera for full-field and point-based measurement. This device offers a robust design that is ideal for high-end applications in industrial environments, and its performance surpasses that of similar products from the competition.

The ARAMIS SRX combines high stability, process reliability, and user-friendliness with speeds of up to 2,000 frames per second (fps).

Reduced need for sensor calibration

This device provides a high spatial resolution with the latest imaging technology, with two 12-megapixel cameras. This enables measurement of both small-strain and local-strain effects in large areas. Durham Instruments recommends the ARAMIS SRX for use in the general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, medical, power-generation, alternative-energy, and transportation industries and in research and development.

The robust housing design of this camera gives stability to the sensor while reducing the need for sensor calibration at the same time. The instrument can be operated right out of the box, and the exchangeable camera frame and preset and certified measuring lenses allow fast adjustment of measuring areas. Controlling the sensor with the Gom testing controller stabilizes communication between hardware and software. The trigger assessment within the cameras can monitor image acquisition for higher process reliability of the sensor.

This unique 3D camera has a maximum image-recording rate of 335 fps at full resolution, and reducing image height can increase the rate as high as 2,000 fps, which is perfect for rapid tasks. The ARAMIS SRX is designed for applications that require both capturing an event in detail over time and capturing local effects. Its internal memory allows combination of high speed and high resolution. High-definition mode is available for crash applications.

Users can filter out interfering ambient light during image acquisition, because of the narrow-band blue light of Blue Light Technology. The light sources ensure optimal illumination with short exposure times for all measuring areas from 10-by-10 millimetres to five-by-five millimetres. The tracking spots serve for the illumination of large areas of up to five-by-five metres and are suitable for point-based motion analysis.
