The ARAMIS SRX 3D camera system

Gom products are available in Canada from Durham Instruments, including the innovative ARAMIS SRX three-dimensional camera system. With a robust design that is perfect for high-end applications in industrial environments, this is a high-resolution camera for full-field and point-based measurement. The camera blends high stability, process reliability, and user-friendliness with speeds as high as 2,000 frames per second (fps). This sensor stands up to every comparison with similar devices on the market.

A high spatial resolution

The device offers a high spatial resolution with the latest camera technology, with two 12-megapixel cameras. This way, users can measure both small-strain and local-strain effects in large areas. The robust housing design of the ARAMIS SRX gives stability to the sensor while simultaneously reducing the need for sensor calibration. The camera can be used right out of the box, and the exchangeable camera frame and preset and certified measuring lenses enable quick adjustment of measuring areas. Controlling the sensor with the Gom testing controller stabilizes communication between hardware and software. The trigger assessment within the cameras can monitor image acquisition for higher process reliability of the sensor.

The ARAMIS SRX has a maximum image-recording rate of 335 fps at full resolution; reducing image height can increase the rate up to 2,000 fps – ideal for rapid applications. The unit is built for applications that need both capturing an event in detail over time and capturing local effects; the internal memory enables combination of high speed and high resolution. The camera also has high-definition mode for crash applications.

Interfering ambient light can be filtered out during image acquisition, due to the narrow-band blue light of Blue Light Technology. The light sources ensure optimal illumination with short exposure times for all measuring areas from ten-by-ten millimetres to five-by-five metres. The tracking spots serve for the illumination of large areas of up to five-by-five metres and are suitable for point-based motion analysis.

Durham Instruments deems the ARAMIS SRX suitable for use in such sectors as general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, the medical field, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
