turbidity sensor

Endress+Hauser’s Turbimax CUS52D smart turbidity sensors provide continuous monitoring of drinking and process water quality with laboratory accuracy or better.

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. never stops developing great measurement instrumentation for the industrial market in this country. Two of the latest examples are the CUS52D smart turbidity sensor and the CUA252 flow cell. These products offer continuous unattended monitoring of drinking and process water quality with laboratory accuracy or better.

With its smart calibration tools and optional self-cleaning functions, the CUS52D is a safe, convenient, and extremely reliable part of any water-treatment package.

With fast reaction time

One major benefit of this turbidity sensor is its fast reaction time, which allows for greater process control. The CUS52D is independent of the installation environment and can offer consistent monitoring in water production at all points, from the inlet to the outlet, with unmatched accuracy.

The CUS52D has a special surface that minimizes the buildup of biofilms and particulates, plus the ability to operate at pressures as high as ten bar in order to suppress air-bubble formation. This is an enormous user advantage, as air bubbles and contamination are among the most frequent challenges of turbidity measurement. There is also an optional air-bubble trap that can eliminate even the smallest of bubbles. Endress+Hauser recommends its CYR52 externally mounted ultrasonic cleaning system for especially persistent cases; this system removes all surface contamination without contacting the sensor directly, which allows the user to extend service intervals.

The company has also developed a smart solid-state reference tool, the CUY52, to work with the Turbimax CUS52D. The CUY52 enables the user to verify or calibrate the turbidity sensor, specially matched with the sensor, without the risk of putting either workers or the process into contact with Formazin and other hazardous liquids. Easy to use, this solid-state reference tool ensures the reliability of every turbidity measurement.

The Flowfit CUA252 is a turbidity flow assembly for all drinking and process water applications, with a very low back scattering that allows for accurate results even in extremely low measuring ranges. The ruggedized PE material withstands high pressures and temperatures and is completely suitable for drinking water, allowing the user to preserve every drop of water.
