Mod-Tronic carries various Shinko products.

Shinko Technos is one of many high-profile manufacturers that offer its test and measurement solutions in the Canadian market through Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. Based in Japan, Shinko is committed to meeting customer demand by developing a wide range of products for process measurement of temperature, humidity, and other factors. The options available from Shinko – alarms, controls, indicators, monitors, scanners, recorders, and relays – are all designed and constructed according to the highest standards of dependability and quality.

Backed by a three-year warranty

The Shinko team has been making quality instruments for more than half a century, while providing years of practical field experience with its knowledge. Each model that Shinko supplies is backed by a three-year warranty, and its credibility is enhanced by such quality certifications as the strict ISO 9001 standard.

As the designated Canadian master distributor for Shinko’s selection, Mod-Tronic carries the following product categories:

  • Alarms – two models of temperature and process controls, one with a panel mount, one with a DIN rail mount. Among the features: regulatory compliance, PC programmability and security, many inputs and outputs, displays, and controls.
  • Controls – an option for every requirement, from analog meter relays with control alarm relays to signal alarm trips and digital process and temperature controls with on/off or PID control.
  • Indicators – including such options as digital panel meters, which usually read input and display its value digitally, and temperature/process indicators.
  • Monitors and scanners – the next generation of temperature-monitoring instrumentation, to meet the needs of electric-machinery protection. Input types include RTD, thermocouple, DC current, and DC voltage.
  • Recorders – including options like video-graphic recorders, which listen for key ideas, synthesize them, and document them in visual form, plus paper chart recorders, which are electromechanical devices that record electric or mechanical input trends on paper.
  • Solid-state relays – electronic switching devices designed to switch on and off when a small external voltage is applied across its control terminals. The SA-500 model, for instance, provides voltage of four to 32 volts DC, input current of 20 mA or less, and an ambient temperature range from -20 to 80 degrees Celsius.
