Durham Instruments carries a wide range of accelerometers designed to reliably operate in many types of environments. Its selection includes piezoelectric-based accelerometers, from Measurement Specialties, available in different dynamic ranges, sizes, materials and more, ensuring customers get a solution that meets the application’s exact requirements.

Miniature accelerometer

The Model 7132AHT is a high temperature miniature triaxial integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) accelerometer that is ideal for use in both high frequency and general purpose applications, vibration and shock monitoring, laboratory and automotive testing, as well as high temperature testing. Constructed from hermetically sealed titanium, the accelerometer is available in dynamic ranges from ±50 to ±500g, features a four-pin Microtech connector interface, and incorporates stable piezo-ceramic crystals in annular shear mode. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -55 to 163 degrees C, and offers a flat frequency response up to >10kHz.

High performance accelerometer

The Model 7100A is a high performance IEPE accelerometer available in ±50 to ±500g dynamic ranges. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -55 to 150 degrees C, and provides a flat frequency response up to 15kHz. This model is hermetically sealed and features the popular through-hole mount installation for use with standard mounting screws. It is ideal for flight testing, vibration and shock monitoring, as well as high frequency and high temperature IEPE applications.

Adhesive-mount accelerometer

The Model 7108A is a miniature adhesive-mount IEPE accelerometer with a welded hermetic stainless steel construction. Available in dynamic ranges of ±50 to ±500g, this model features a coaxial 10-32 top connector, and incorporates stable piezo-ceramic crystals in annular shear mode, which provide a flat frequency response up to >10kHz. It has a -55 to 125 degree C operating range, and is most suitable for laboratory testing, vibration and shock monitoring, as well as modal and high frequency applications.

A wide selection

This is just a small sample of the many IEPE accelerometer options from Measurement Specialties that are available from Durham Instruments, an industry-leading distributor. To learn more about the company’s comprehensive portfolio, contact Durham Instruments.
