Since 1991, Process Instruments and Components (PIC) has served a wide range of industries with solutions for work in hazardous areas. The distributor has recently partnered with veteran Italian manufacturer ODE, an internationally renowned producer of valves and pumps. ODE’s reliable, high-quality electric and air-operated solenoid valves have satisfied business needs for more than half a century, and PIC is now supplying these great products in Canada.

Available in different materials

ODE manufactures solenoid valves in brass, stainless steel, or technopolymer, with multiple AC and DC voltages and extensive pressure and temperature ranges that are compatible with a broad variety of applications. All CSA Group- and CRN-approved, these valves suit task ranging from minor modifications of core products to complete redesigns.

PIC recommends these valves for use in many different industries. They come in handy in chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, food processing, municipal water and wastewater treatment, heating, cooling and refrigeration, pharmaceuticals, power generation, rubber, plastics, mining, pulp and paper, and the automotive sector. ODE also makes specialty solenoid valves for car-wash systems and for vending or coffee machines; these valves include optional NSF certification.

ODE’s portfolio of valves is competitively priced and comes with a wide range of AC and DC voltages. They consume a low amount of power – eight watts for the majority of AC and DC coils – and operate in temperatures from -40 to 180 degrees Celsius, based on the sealing material. All of ODE’s stainless steel valves are AISI 316 versus AISI 304 for competition, and users can replace coils without having to remove the valve bodies. Depending on the pressure range for the specific application, users can also mix and match AC and DC coils.
