Mod-Tronic carries NK voltage transmitters.

NK Technologies’ test and measurement solutions are accessible in Canada through Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. The manufacturer has long maintained a focus on developing and producing innovative and cost-efficient current-sensing devices designed to meet or exceed users’ performance expectations, with a selection of more than 1,300 models that add value to industrial operations.

Among the NK products available are voltage transmitters – one of the five categories of signal conditioners commonly used in the industrial and factory-automation markets.

With AC or DC input

There are five models of NK voltage transmitters, one with AC input, two with DC input, and two with both. AC voltage transmitters measure AC voltage either directly or via a voltage transformer; the instrument converts the AC voltage to either a DC mA or a DC voltage output that is directly proportional to the input signal value. Mod-Tronic carries the following series of voltage transmitters, all of which are certified by UL Solutions:

  • VTR series. These units each have an AC input and DIN rail mount. Voltage ranges from 120 to 600 volts; output signal of 4-20 mA; power supply of 4-20 VDC Loop.
  • VTD series. DC input and DIN rail mount. Voltage range from 15 to 600 VDC; output signal of 0-5 or 0-10 volts DC; power supply of 20-45 VDC.
  • VTD-BD series. Similar to the VTD series in some ways, but wider in design, and with an optional panel mount and a power supply of 24 volts AC/DC.
  • VTU series. AC/DC input and choice between a DIN rain or panel mount. Voltage range of 0-800, 1,000, or 1,200 VAC or DC; output signal of 0-5 volts DC, 0-10 volts DC, or 4-20 mA; power supply of 24 volts AC/DC.
  • VTU-DIN series. AC/DC input; DIN rail mount; and voltage range from 0-15 to 0-600 volts. Same output signal and power supply as those of the VTU series.

The VTR, VTD, and VTU-DIN series also meet the requirements of the European CE safety standard, in addition to those of UL.

NK Technologies remains a top international supplier of current-measurement products, including voltage transmitters.
