Mod-Tronic carries NK power-measurement devices.

Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. supplies a broad range of measurement solutions by NK Technologies to Canadian businesses. For years, the NK team has maintained a focus on developing innovative, cost-efficient sensing products that are designed to add value and to meet or exceed the performance expectations of its customers.

Among the options available from NK’s portfolio of more than 1,300 models are three types of power-measurement solutions – voltage transmitters, power transducers, and current transformers.

Perfect for the factory-automation sector

NK is a leading international supplier of current-measurement products to the industrial and factory-automation sectors, including these power-measurement solutions. The manufacturer’s voltage transmitters measure AC voltage either directly or through a voltage transformer. The transducer converts the AC voltage signal to either a DC mA or DC voltage output, which is directly proportional to the input signal value.

Five series of NK voltage transmitters are available from the Mod-Tronic inventory: the VTR, VTD, VTD-BD, VTU, and VTU-DIN lines. These models come with AC and/or DC inputs, and all five series are available with DIN-rail mounts, although pannel mounting options are also available with the VTD-BD and VTU series.

Power transducers and transmitters by NK are designed to offer a controlled output that is proportional to the average RMS power. Each of these models are targeted specifically to offer an efficient solution to most power-sensing requirements. Mod-Tronic carries three series of NK power transducers – the APT, APT-TH, and APS series. These models vary significantly in terms of output range, power supply, maximum primary voltage, and current input type, depending on the user’s needs.

A current transformer is a kind of transformer that is used to multiply or reduce an alternating current. This device makes a current in its secondary that is proportional to the current in its primary. The Mod-Tronic team offers five series of NK current transformers: the CRTC AC, ProteCT, CT-MS, CT-LS, and Five Amp Secondary series. Four of these models are self-powered and have split-core case mounting, while the CRTC AC line functions with a 24 VAC or DC power supply and DIN Rail.
