Mod-Tronic carries four kinds of Camille Bauer inclination transducers

The KINAX N702 SSI inclination transmitter

Camille Bauer Metrawatt AG has been making world-class test and measurement instrumentation for more than three-quarters of a century. Today, Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. makes these innovative devices available to Canadian businesses. The lineup comprises various kinds of position transducers under the KINAX brand, including four models of inclination transducers. Among the common features of these units are digital interfaces, robust aluminum housing, and pendulum shafts that have no mechanical stops.

Very robust, absolute transmitters

Mod-Tronic’s inventory of Camille Bauer inclination transmitters comprises two variations of the KINAX N702 design and two of the KINAX N702-INOX design. The KINAX N702 SSI model offers a measuring range, sense of rotation, and zero position function all programmed directly into the instrument. Other key benefits of using this device: a magnetoresistive angular position transmitter; SSI digital interfaces; robust aluminum housing; IP66-level protection; an oil-damped pendulum; and a pendulum shaft with no mechanical stops. Also available is the KINAX N702-CANopen model, which is very similar, but without the same measuring range, rotation sense, and position function, and with CANopen digital interfaces.

Mod-Tronic also offers the KINAX N702-INOX series of inclination transducers. Each of these is a very robust, absolute inclination transmitter that the supplier recommends for use in harsh work environments, due to its high mechanical strength and its hermetically sealed stainless steel housing. This housing enables tough resistance against sea water, detergents, and other aggressive media. Maximum installation flexibility results from the device’s very simple assembly by the synchro flange or mounting plate, the highly flexible four-pole control line, and the free parameterization through the control line. The KINAX N702-INOX HART model is similar, but it uses a highly flexible two-pole signal line with PUR sheath instead of the control line.

Inclination transducers make up just one category of instruments in the KINAX position-transducer lineup. Camille Bauer also manufactures programmable angular position transmitters, compact angular position transducers, standard angular position transducers, heavy-duty angular position transducers, and linear position transducers.
