MOCAP has supplied the widest selection of industrial protective products for more than 40 years to customers across North America. The manufacturer’s huge lineup includes a broad variety of tapered plugs: 10 series that protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, and other damage during production, shipping, or storage.

The company makes three plug types in its portfolio – offering lines of threaded and friction-fit plugs, in addition to these units.

Paper, silicone, or EPDM tapered plugs

The following models of tapered plugs are available from MOCAP:

• Centre pull plugs. Similar to standard tapered LDPE plug caps, but with centre pull tabs for easy removal. All red in nearly 40 sizes.
• Centre pull plugs with wide flanges. Recommended for superior surface-area protection. Extra-strong tabs make sure plugs do not break off. Available in 14 sizes.
• EPDM tapered plugs. Black, rubber, chemical-resistant tapered plugs that withstand temperatures of up to 149 degrees Celsius. Twenty-three sizes.
• Outside pull tapered plugs. With off-centre tabs that allow users to pull out tight-fitting plugs more easily from the side. More than 30 sizes.
• Paper tapered plugs. Economical, environmentally friendly light-brown plugs that do not promote condensation, manufactured from recycled paper. Twenty-one sizes.
• Silicone tapered plugs. Able to withstand temperatures as high as 316 degrees Celsius. Twenty-three sizes.
• Tapered plug caps. Red units with a unique dual-function closure, which enables use as plugs or as caps. Easy to remove and offering secure fits with their strong LDPE construction. Designed to fit various diameters. Available in nearly 100 sizes.
• Thick extra-wide-flange plug caps. The widest flange available in MOCAP’s line of plug caps. Available in 14 sizes and yellow in colour. Perfect for tube and hydraulic fittings, tube end caps, and pipe caps.
• Thick wide-flange caps. With thicker, wider flanges for easier handling. Yellow colour for better visibility. Suitable for the strict standards of the aerospace and military sectors. More than 50 sizes.
• Wide-flange plug caps. Like tapered plug caps, with wider flanges for added protection on external surfaces and to prevent users from pushing them all the way through openings. Twenty-four sizes.
