Mod-Tronic Instruments offers a range of temperature sensors from Shinko. This Japanese manufacturer has more than 50 years of experience and a dedication to making top quality, innovative products. The selection available from Mod-Tronic Instruments includes a variety of unique thermocouples and infrared sensors.

IR sensor and thermocouple in one device

The Shinko RCT103F, for example, is a two-in-one portable device that combines a thermocouple with an infrared temperature sensor. The infrared sensor enables instant surface temperature readings of hard-to-reach areas, while the thermocouple can be used to accurately measure subsurface temperatures. This unit features adjustable emissivity, a retractable thermocouple probe, and NIST traceability. Its measurement range is -33 to 220 degrees C, accurate to within two per cent of the reading or two degrees C (whichever is greater).

Shed light on temperature measurements

Another innovative Shinko temperature sensor is the R/IRLL02. This non-contact infrared thermometer incorporates a white light LED torch that ensures the operator always has a clear view of the area to be measured. It features low power consumption so the batteries can provide up to 30 hours of continuous use.

The compact design makes this temperature sensor easy to carry and use. The unit measures 13 by 152 mm and weighs 75 grams, including the batteries. Some of the applications it is typically used for include laboratory, automotive, electrical, and food and beverage. The measurement range is -33 to 220 degrees C, and it provides accuracy to 2.5 per cent of the reading or 2.5 degrees C.

Other sensor types

The many types of Shinko thermocouples available from Mod-Tronic Instruments include washer, lead-wire, hollow tube, melt bot, spade, and rigid or spring-adjustable bayonet. The available RTDs include straight probe and connection head styles.

All Shinko temperature sensors are guaranteed with a three-year warranty, and are built to ISO 9001 standards. Visit the Mod-Tronic Instruments website to learn more about these and the many other temperature sensors available.
