Hoskin offers MicroStrain wireless nodes.

The MicroStrain brand of test and measurement instruments by HBK is available in Canada from Hoskin Scientific Ltd., including a potent line of wireless sensor nodes. These wireless sensor networks, or WSNs, allow simultaneous, high-speed sensing and data acquisition from multiple wireless strain gauges, accelerometers, temperature devices, and millivolt inputs.

This range of wireless sensing systems is the perfect option for small-scale applications that require a few sensor nodes, as well as large-scale applications that require hundreds of them.

No need to install wiring

HBK’s MicroStrain wireless sensor nodes provide a streamlined solution for remote and embedded monitoring for which there is no need to install or maintain wiring. These wireless support nodes support a broad variety of sensor types and packaging options, allowing the user to configure his or her optimal network quickly. In the case of long-term application, low-power designs are coupled with internal batteries and optional energy harvesters. Hoskin carries the following models of MicroStrain wireless sensing systems:

  • G-Link-200. Three-axis accelerometer with rugged, weatherproof enclosure. Fully calibrated and with low noise; recommended for vibration, impact, and tilt.
  • G-Link-200-R. Three-axis accelerometer with ASTMF2137 compliance and rugged, weatherproof enclosure. Perfect for the testing of amusement rides.
