Fluid-handling solutions for viscous products available from John Brooks Company

John Brooks Company Limited is one of Canada’s premier sources of industrial fluid-handling solutions, and this includes options for viscous products. The supplier offers not just pumps for these applications, but also spray technology, tank-cleaning systems, and valves – in other words, virtually anything a business needs for any relevant viscous-product task.

Customers have access to these fluid-handling products from various manufacturers, such as Wilden, Blackmer, SEEPEX, Vogelsang, Tuthill, BETE, and Alfa Laval.

Preventing overfilling of air chambers

The John Brooks Company team carries five types of pumps for highly viscous liquids, from different manufacturers:

• Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT series. These air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) units prevent overfilling of their air chambers by restricting airflow, thereby maximizing productivity while reducing expenses.
• Blackmer E series. Seal-less internal gear pumps that effectively eliminate leaks while reducing mechanical wear – boosting safety for employees and the environment.
• SEEPEX T BTVE, BTHE, and BTH ranges. Open hopper pumps that are manufactured with a feed hopper and feed screw, recommended for highly viscous, non-flowable products with high dry-solids content.
• Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps. These units are self-priming even from a depth as much as nine metres, resist dry running, and retain high efficiency if the pumped medium contains foreign matter.
• Tuthill global gear pumps. Process pumps that handle the toughest-high-viscosity tasks. Recommended for supporting lubrication applications in large natural-gas compressors.

Pumps are not the only products that John Brooks Company offers for viscous fluids. BETE, for example, makes the XAER model of air-atomizing spray nozzle, which allows effective spraying of viscous liquids at very fine atomization and low flow rates. Its full cone round spray pattern is particularly suitable for these applications.

Alfa Laval offers tank-cleaning systems for high-viscosity liquids. For instance, the TJ SaniJet20 Pressure is a rotary jet head for mid-sized tanks and containers that cleans highly viscous debris from the insides of sanitary tanks. And John Brooks Company offers various valves for high-viscosity fluid processes, from a wide array of manufacturers. Options include ball, butterfly, gate, check, plug, sanitary, and diaphragm valves, as well as pneumatic and electric actuators.
