EXAIR LLC is always upgrading its already vast selection of compressed-air solutions to adapt to customers’ evolving needs. The latest innovation from the manufacturer is its Gen4 family of ion air guns, designed to remove static electricity, contaminants, and dust from parts before labelling, assembly, packaging, painting, or finishing.
Cleaning at distances of up to 4.6 metres, each model in the Gen4 line of ion air guns is a quiet, lightweight instrument with a hanger hook for easy storage.
With metal armoured high-voltage cable
Among the major features of these new air guns are a metal armoured high-voltage cable that protects against abrasion and cuts, a replaceable emitter point, integrated ground connection, and electromagnetic shielding. The 10-foot shielded power cable is flexible and designed for rugged use. Each Gen4 ion air gun incorporates a high-velocity air jet that uses a small amount of compressed air to entrain 80 per cent of the total output airflow from the surrounding room air. An electrically energized emitter at the discharge end fills the whole air stream with positive and negative ions that can neutralize high static charges in only a fraction of a second.
These ion air guns can neutralize static electricity without emitting shocks, and each one has a comfortable grip and hand position that enables hours of constant use without fatigue. EXAIR has designed a new, selectable-voltage power supply specifically for these air guns, and an optional regulator allows infinite adjustment of the velocity and air volume. The EXAIR team recommends this series for such applications as cleaning moulded parts, pre-paint dust removal, furniture finishing, and package cleaning prior to printing or labelling.
The Gen4 series of ion air guns has undergone independent laboratory tests to make sure it complies with the strict health, safety, and environmental standards of the international community. The guns are RoHS-compliant and have also attained approval from Underwriters’ Laboratories in the United States and CE in Europe.
Based in Cincinnati, EXAIR LLC has designed and produced an unmatched range of industrial compressed-air solutions since 1983. Among the examples are air guns, vacuum generators, and static eliminators.
