iTEMP TMT36 IO-Link temperature head transmitter with optional push-in terminals for tool-free wiring

Perfect for customers in food processing and life sciences who focus on factory automation and want to benefit from cost-effective devices that communicate digitally, Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd.’s iTEMP TMT36 IO-Link temperature head transmitter is a dependable, long-term-stable, and single-channel instrument for modular thermometers with the form B connection head.

Among the advantages of the iTEMP TMT36 with IO-Link are shorter commissioning times, simpler device replacement, and increased digitization.

Digitally accessible field-level devices

Users can install this transmitter in all modular Endress+Hauser thermometers to digitize a wider range of applications with special requirements using IO-Link technology. This technology makes field-level instruments digitally accessible while allowing time-saving offline parameterization, data transparency, and plug-and-produce device exchange. Installing the iTEMP TMT36 in Endress+Hauser modular thermometers makes IO-Link’s advantages usable in more scenarios, for more application coverage and flexibility.

The iTEMP TMT36 is compatible with facility digitization especially in many food-processing tasks and in basic life-sciences applications, in which explosion-protection requirements are inapplicable and the focus is on simplifying integration and application.

This new instrument supports the iTHERM ModuLine thermometer’s innovative features, including the second process barrier and the iTHERM QuickNeck, giving users a perfectly matching combination. Diagnostic data according to NAMUR NE107 allow users to retrieve info remotely, allowing continuous analysis and regular predictive maintenance of the devices, which minimizes downtime. The possibility of individually matching the transmitter and sensor with Callendar van Dusen linearization creates flexibility and boosts accuracy in temperature measurement. Long-term availability is assured through up-to-date technology and reliable production abilities.

The iTEMP TMT36 is distinguished by its optional features: push-in terminals, which allow fast, simple, tool-free installation and maintenance; and an attachable display, which shows the device type, diagnostic messages, and the measured value – enabling easier monitoring of the process in the field. Conformity with the IO-Link Smart Sensor Profile (second edition) ensures simple, seamless integration of the unit into the process landscape.

With this solution, Endress+Hauser transforms a single IO-Link temperature transmitter into a full portfolio of IO-Link thermometers, which suit a wide range of applications with specific needs, thanks to their modular design.
