Endress+Hauser soars in 2023: Record sales, job surge, anniversary revelry

Endress+Hauser increased sales and created jobs in 2023 in an ever-challenging environment.

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. is one of the country’s premier specialists in industrial measurement technology and automation solutions, and its parent company in Switzerland, The Endress+Hauser Group, continues to grow and succeed. Last year, the corporation increased its consolidated sales by 11 per cent, to more than €3.7 billion.

As the family-owned company celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2023, Endress+Hauser also created 715 new jobs worldwide – with a total of 16,532 employees globally at the end of the year.

Results presented this coming April

According to Dr. Luc Schultheiss, the chief financial officer for the Group, Endress+Hauser recorded strong organic growth last year, with help from record-high levels of orders at the beginning of 2023. Although individual markets and industries developed very differently, with economic momentum slowing noticeably in the second half of the year, Endress+Hauser still managed to maintain its order income at a good level.

The Endress+Hauser team is going to present its audited financial figures at its annual media conference, which will take place in Reinach, Switzerland this coming April 16. The corporation is expecting to take advantage of growth opportunities available in the current year, maintaining the momentum from its success from 2023. Endress+Hauser recently appointed a new CEO, Dr. Peter Selders, who replaced Matthias Altendorf; the latter has moved to the company’s Supervisory Board.

2023 was a special year for Endress+Hauser because of its 70th anniversary. The company held a celebration for a full week in Basel, Switzerland, with 5,500 employees attending. The inaugural Endress+Hauser Global Forum attracted more than 800 customers to discuss how to manage the sustainable transformation of the process industry successfully, while hundreds of employees participated in internal conferences too. In addition, 600 young talents exchanged ideals at the Young Generation Networking Day.
