Durham Instruments offers slip-ring assemblies for range of applications

SK5, SK6 and SK12 slip-ring assemblies, from HBM, transfer measurement signals from rotating electrical transducers to stationary measuring systems. Measurement signals and any necessary power supply are transferred for inductive and ohmic transducers, strain gauge applications, resistance thermometers, thermocouples and other transducers.

The SK6 and SK12 models are designed for mounting to stub shafts with easy-lift brush assemblies, while the SK5 model is designed for central mounting on shafts. The assemblies are able to achieve high transmission quality at low wear with low thermoelectric voltages between the slip-rings and the brushes. There is very little contact resistance between the brushes and the slip-rings, as well as very little change with speed, temperature and current.
