EXAIR’s new digital flowmeters have wireless capability, enabling them to reliably and securely measure and monitor compressed air usage, trends and historical data. This allows users to easily identify high compressed air use areas and compressed air leaks, and optimize air use.
Key features
These flowmeters use a Zigbee mesh network protocol to complete their measurement and monitoring tasks. Each meter has a range of 100 feet (30 metres), and transmits data to an Ethernet connected gateway. Security is not a concern here, as each meter and gateway are configured for security and have 128-bit encryption for the wireless transmissions.
These meters come with a wireless-to-Ethernet gateway, power supplies and installation tools, which enable the unit to be permanently or temporarily mounted to a pipe. The EXAIRlogger software can simply be downloaded to begin monitoring compressed air. This software enables customers to graph the data, aggregate it to identify air use trends, or use it with other analytic software to effectively monitor air and save money. A large digital display shows airflow values in standard cubic feet per minute or cubic metres per hour.
Availability
Many companies install EXAIR digital flowmeters on each major leg of their air distribution system to constantly monitor and benchmark compressed air usage. They are available with wireless capability for schedule 40 iron pipe in ½-, ¾-, one-, 1-½-, two-, 2-½-, three- and four-inch sizes. They are CE and RoHS compliant, and can also be ordered for schedule 80, 10S or Type L copper pipe.
Digital flowmeters are part of the optimization lineup of products at EXAIR.com.
