Freight containers on shipping vessels require strong, protective locking devices. Because salt water is highly corrosive and the conditions of the water being traversed are unpredictable, the locks should also be waterproof and weatherproof, but more importantly, they need to withstand the corrosive environment that can lead to the internals of the lock getting damaged, rendering the locks unusable.

Each lock has a brass body and is operated with a magnetic key/fob, uniquely keyed to each lock.
