The HBM T40CB compact torque flange

HBM Test and Measurement products are accessible in Canada via Durham Instruments, such as the T40CB compact torque flange – a torque transducer with a short design and high vibration resistance, providing a high level of precision with the proven HBM T40 electronics. The thru hole sets this unit apart from competing solutions.

The T40CB torque flange is available in two different models. One of them has a central bore, measuring 46½ by 54 millimetres (mm), while the other has a central bore measuring 37½ by 49 mm.

High accuracy, speed, nominal torque

Users get an HBM accuracy class of 0.05, speed as high as 30,000 revolutions per minute, and nominal torque of 500 newton metres from this device; other measuring ranges are available upon request. This compact torque flange from Durham Instruments may need lubricant or coolant lines led directly through it, depending on the test concepts. A shaft may often need to be passed through the transducer when testing coaxial gear.

The smaller version of this instrument offers the highest flexibility from a mounting viewpoint, as it can be installed with either threaded or stud bolt mounting. The larger model has a large central bore diameter with relatively short overall length. Users can install the T40CB exclusively with threaded assembly because of the large central bore.

Its radiometric method of measurement allows high precision and stability.
