“Team HARTING” at the annual Media Luncheon, held in Toronto on July 23, 2019 – Ashley Smith-Heine (Vice President of Sales, HARTING Americas) and Carl Maalouf (Director of Sales, HARTING Canada)
The HARTING Technology Group held its annual Toronto media luncheon on July 23. Two of the company’s leaders – HARTING Canada sales director Carl Maalouf and HARTING Americas vice president of sales Ashley Smith-Heine – explained how the corporation has seen significant growth in the Canadian market. Today, the family-owned global technology company records double-digit revenue growth on a regular basis in Canada.
A number of great opportunities
HARTING announced at the luncheon that it plans to increase its full-time Canadian sales staff to four. This will enable Canadian customers to optimize their technology spending through the sales department’s expertise. The sales force is backed by HARTING Americas’ in-house sales team, plus a comprehensive distributor network.
According to Heine-Smith, Canada offers a number of great opportunities for the expanded HARTING Canada sales force, such as the following:
Another key point in HARTING’s favour is the company’s game-changing new products, like the MICA mini-computer and ix Industrial connector for IP20 Ethernet applications. These devices give fresh inspiration to machine, plant, and process designers, according to Maalouf, who announced two new products that are coming to Canada soon: the Han 1A and the T1 Industrial. The former is a compact, economical, modular connector configurable with up to 12 contacts for transmitting power, signal, and data, while the latter is an Ethernet connector that can carry power and data on only one pair of wires.
