An important feature of these Barksdale intelligent transmitters is their optional HART communication protocol, with diagnostics and field calibration. This enables the devices to provide additional information beyond the normal process variable, offering diagnostics, device status, and other calibration capabilities, such as remote span adjustability and Zero trim.
Barksdale’s BiTs from Wainbee are also raising the bar for high accuracy and long-term stability with their thin-film sensing technology. The stability of this technology increases the time between calibration intervals, which decreases maintenance costs and maintains accuracy between calibration intervals.
Original equipment manufacturers benefit from the accuracy and long-term stability of Series 450, which reduces the calibration cycles necessary to maintain transmitters used for validating and monitoring product quality and to perform factory acceptance tests. The diffused silicon and thin-film technologies of this series combine for a pressure range from vacuum to 30,000 psi, while proprietary digital linearization enables accuracy of up to 0.1 per cent FSO.
Series 450 BiTs are designed to be environmentally rugged with a corrosion-resistant, all-welded stainless steel design with select standard and optional features to meet oil and gas needs. Their digital remote calibration and range turndown capabilities are ideal for hard-to-reach remote or offshore locations, reducing maintenance time and the need for spares.
