Mod-Tronic carries NK input current switches.

NK Technologies current-sensing products are available from Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. The manufacturer has been making more than 1,300 models of instruments, ranging from current transducers to signal converters, for more than three decades, with an unsurpassed variety of styles and variations to meet any industrial and automation needs.

The broad portfolio available includes two kinds of input current switches, AC and DC models. These are stocked for fast shipment around the world, as are all NK products.

For overload or underload detection

These input current switches are perfect for on/off status, monitoring AC or DC current loads to detect overload or underload condition. Each unit combines a CT, a signal conditioner, and output contacts into one single instrument. Both the AC and DC versions offer input ranges from one to 1,600 Amps, plus fixed or adjustable set points with indication. They are available in solid-core models with front or top terminals, plus split-core models for simple installation. The devices have normally open or normally closed output contacts for switching AC or DC, and they are compliant with the RoHS2 standard with a five-year warranty.

The AC current input switches have Solid State contact or SPDT relay outputs; they are also self-powered, with low-voltage AC/DC and 120VAC power options. Mod-Tronic supplies the following model types in this category:

  • Low-current models. The AS0 series has a sensing aperature diameter of ¾ of an inch.
  • Fixed-set-point models. Two versions, the AS1 compact case and AS1 NOR-FT-GO.
  • Wide-current range models. Six designs in three series – the ASC, AS1, and ASM series.
  • Jumper selectable range models. The AS3 and ASX series, each of which has two models.
  • Low-voltage AC/DC power options. Fifteen series available in this category, with varying sizes and features.
  • Large-aperture and high-current models. Two designs, each with four series.
  • Current switches with transmitter output. Includes the ATS1, ATS2, and ATS-420-SDT series.

NK DC current input switches have low-voltage AC/DC power options. Two models are available: the DS1 series, with fixed set point, and the DS3 series, with adjustable set point.
