IR manufactures Zimmerman rail systems.

Dobco Equipment Ltd. is Canada’s source of Ingersoll Rand (IR) ergonomic material-handling systems, under the Zimmerman brand name. The backbone of every one of these solutions is a good rail system. Zimmerman industrial rail systems have many notable advantages: they are lightweight and ergonomic, with less than one per cent rolling resistance, and they offer precision running surfaces available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel. IR manufactures three types of rail systems.

Clean operation with no maintenance

These rail systems are also modular and flexible; they are bolted together with no welding necessary. They also offer clean, maintenance-free operation, with no lubrication required, and they are designed to meet or exceed all international safety standards. The profiles come in five different sizes to meet the various needs of Zimmerman’s ergonomic handling systems. The design reduces the accumulation of dirt and grime on internal rolling surfaces to make rolling easier.

One category of Zimmerman industrial rail systems available from Dobco is ceiling-supported workstation bridge cranes. These are perfect for high-volume production environments with limited floor space, with capacities of up to 3,000 pounds. They can mount parallel or perpendicular to overhead support steel, and each offers rectangular coverage for a single workstation or a full assembly line with multiple bridge cranes.

The second type of Zimmerman industrial rail systems from IR is a line of freestanding workstation bridge cranes. These systems are floor-supported, which eliminates the need for overhead support structures, and Lindapter adjustable toe clamps make it easy for the user to align the runways for smooth operation. The cranes have a rugged design with gusseted column base plates, IR can custom-design structures to fulfill specific needs. Freestanding workstation bridge cranes are available in ¼-, ½-, or one-ton capacities and in four-, six-, eight-, ten-, or 12-column designs to cover lengths of up to 105 feet or more.

Third, IR offers Zimmerman monorails. Each of these units offers a single-axis transfer, and curved sections are available for navigating obstructions. Like all of Zimmerman’s rail systems, these are certified by the Monorail Manufacturers Association.
