Polyester or polypropylene filter bags

York Fluid Controls’ filtration bags remove paint sludges, crystals, asbestos fibres, and giardia bacteria; they also remove trace oils from process and wastewater streams and prefilter expensive submicron membrane systems.

Felt media offers three-dimensional depth filtration, which results in higher solids-loading capacity over the equivalent area of mesh fabric. Nylon monofilament mesh is a woven fabric consisting of one untwisted thread and with evenly spaced holes, suitable only for surface filtration. Polyester multifilament mesh consists of many smaller-diameter threads twisted together; it is a low-cost, disposable fabric that also works for surface filtration.

Other filter bags available include options for oil removal and covered filter bags, the latter available in nylon mesh, polyester mesh, and cerex.
