Diverse processes for unique applications

The company uses diverse processes for seal applications that require unique sizes or elastomers for specific conditions, as standards do not always comply with the application needs. Daemar can provide the following manufacturing processes for customized seals:

• Cast urethane. A technique for standard symmetrical U-cups, loaded seals, thin-lip U-cups, dual-durometer U-cups, and feathered or asymmetrical lip designs. Among the other options are large-diameter polyurethane seals, dual-durometer seals, custom polyurethane over-moulding, bumpers, wheels, custom numbering, and private branding.
• CNC machining. High-end, rapid-production CNC machinery used to make fully computer-designed quick custom seals with different profiles and diameters. Examples include pistons, rods, Teflon, rotary seals, wipers, guide rings, backup rings, and gaskets.
• CNC router table. CNC routing flange protectors from solid plastic and corrugated plastic sheets, as well as cutting flange gaskets.
• Elastomer extrusions. Turnkey custom elastomer extrusion, from design through engineering to production. Extrusions are available in solid and foam rubber in most of the standard elastomers, from simple shapes to complicated profiles.
• Injection moulding. Injection-moulded components designed and made by the digital manufacturing team, in polyurethane, polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, and other material.
• Optical part inspection. A type of seal production involving three-axis measurement and inspection of parts, generating graphical representations of measured parts and detailed reports.
• Vulcanizing and cold splicing. Vulcanized O-rings that are fast, cost-efficient solutions for static sealing applications requiring nonstandard-diameter O-rings. Many inch and cord diameters available, with different elastomers and durometers for shorter lead times.
