Wireless foot switches by Linemaster dispense with underfoot wire clutter

This includes a series of wireless foot switches, each of which is an innovative unit that works through radio technology. These products also remove the clutter of wires underfoot, which can be a hindrance or distraction for the employee. Linemaster carries six Hercules models of these wireless foot switches, all of which are dust-tight, drip-tight, watertight, and oil-tight. This means they are appropriate for many applications.

With a heavy-duty, weather-resistant construction

Three standard models of wireless foot switches are available from the company, in addition to three with handles. Each of the standard switches includes a heavy-duty, weather-resistant construction for harsh work conditions and comes with up to three switch functions. Multiple systems may be used in the same vicinity at the same time. Each of these three Hercules models has a 40-foot range of radio-frequency transmission, and the transmitter operates on three AA batteries, with 700 hours of battery life at 50 per cent duty cycle.

The three standard models offer a choice between SPDT, DPDT, or TPDT circuitry. Other advantages of these Linemaster wireless foot switches:

• 15 channels available, from 2.405 to 2.48 gigahertz;
• Full submersible quality in water;
• IP68 rating;
• IPX1 protection degree for the receiver;
• Momentary actuation contacts (single-pole or double-throw, with up to ten amps of service);
• Neoprene cover gasket, plus O-rings on the activating shaft and separate ground crew;
• Rugged cast-metal enclosure with sufficient weight to stop sliding of the switch; and
• Three holes provided for rigid mounting to equipment or floor.

The same choices in circuitry are also available with the three wireless foot switches with handles, as are the general features and benefits. These devices work for dozens of relevant applications, ranging from material handling and food processing to sawmills, sewer cleaning, surgery, oil drilling, punching, and even space shuttles.

These wireless foot switches comply with the stringent safety standards of several international bodies, including Underwriters Laboratories in the United States, Conformité Européenne in Europe, and the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive.
