Wecon Systems provides conveyors and material-handling systems that make warehouses and plants far more productive, efficient, and safe. One convenient function that some Wecon products have is to feed bins into automatic guided vehicles, also known as AGVs. This is one of the prime advantages of the company’s line of pallet handling systems, for example.

Pallet systems, or unit load handling systems, are designed specifically for high load capacities and large product footprints. They are also built to operate in the harshest work conditions.

Fast and reliable solutions

Pallet handling systems are among the many great material-handling offerings that Wecon designs and integrates. Not only do these unit load systems interface with AGVs and LGVs; they also work with stretch wrappers, strappers, and palletizers (high- and low-level, robotic, or gantry).

AGVs are typically used with assembly lines and warehousing, production, and automated storage and retrieval operations. They carry products and other items between workstations in a facility, making the whole material-handling process easier and more efficient. Used in conjunction with a Wecon conveyor system, AGVs help to boost flexibility and reliability while eliminating the risks of using forklifts.

Wecon pallet systems include a number of other significant benefits. They reduce forklift travel and direct labour, while improving both product flow and traceability. Businesses end up with a far cleaner production area and less product and equipment damage as well.

Fully integrated pallet handling systems may include roller transportation or accumulation; roller transportation includes various roller capacities, straight sections, and curves, while roller accumulation has a unique, simple design and is freezer-applicable. Other options include chain transfers, turntables, lifts, and transfer cars, plus multi-chain options that can handle non-roller conveyable products and non-ideal pallet orientation. These systems are also more forgiving of poor-quality and damaged pallets.

With Wecon’s help, the process of feeding bins and items into an AGV is always a smooth and fast operation.
