Daemar carries a wide selection of TruWave wave springs. Its lineup includes multi-turn, single-turn and nested varieties in different sizes, each with their own advantages.

Multi-turn wave springs

Multi-turn wave springs are used for low force applications with large deflections. They utilize nearly half the space as helical compression springs, while producing the same force. They are available with plain or shim ends, and in light, medium- or heavy-weight designs in inch or metric styles.

Single-turn wave springs

Single-turn wave springs are ideal for short deflection applications with low to medium forces, including light-duty, low clearance and ball or roller bearing applications, as well as applications with narrow radial wall dimensions. They are offered in a number of waves and material thicknesses, and for a wide range of bore and rod diameters, as well as inch and metric styles.

Nested wave springs

Nested wave springs offer many of the same advantages, but these can be stacked on top of each other.

Additional advantages

Wave springs are made from coiled flat wire. This design offers many benefits. For example, 50 per cent of the operating height can be reduced in axial direction compared to conventional coiled springs. There is also space savings in radial direction compared to disc springs. In addition, the bending load in the waves guarantees 100 per cent axial transmission of the load, and these springs offer a more accurate spring rate and loads than stamped wave washers or disc springs. Plus, an unlimited range of forces can be created by simply changing the wire size, wire form, number of turns, turn configuration, number of waves and wave form.
