explosion protection devices

Wainbee supplies WAGO explosion-proof devices.

Wainbee Limited boasts a range of industrial equipment unlike that of any other Canadian distributor, equipment from a top selection of manufacturers. Some of these products are recommended for machine safety, keeping workers free from injury while productive. From WAGO, Wainbee offers the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 and 750 XTR explosion protection devices.

Perfect for automation technology, these units make machines and systems safe and efficient in atmospheres subject to explosion, in a safe, reliable, and economical way.

The advantages of fieldbus technology

Modules within the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 and 750 XTR platforms are built for use in both hazardous and non-hazardous conditions. The 750 line of explosion protection devices offers a safe, simple, and economical connection to the sensors and actuators of Zones 0/20 and 1/21 when workers use it in Zone 2/22 hazardous areas. WAGO developed the blue Ex i I/O modules specifically for this application; they form an intrinsically safe section that users can integrate into a standard fieldbus node, to get all of the advantages of up-to-the-minute fieldbus technology.

These explosion protection devices from Wainbee are approved for use in Zone 2/22 for integration of intrinsically safe signals from the field up to Zone 0/20, and they come with comprehensive certification for international use, such as ATEX, IECEx, NSI/ISA, and INMETRO. They come with intrinsically safe inputs with functional safety and are rated up to SIL 3, Cat. 4/PL e PROFIsafe.

Defined by a broad application range, the 750 has more than 500 different digital, analog, and special-function I/O modules, covering almost every signal type in many industries. It has been proven in industrial, process, and building automation, as well as SmartGrid and hazardous locations, and it provides the most flexible, modular, and compact platform for standalone or distributed automation.

The 750 XTR is distinguished by dark grey housing and a unique construction. Its extreme temperature range, immunity to interference, and vibration and impulse-voltage resistance make it perfect for challenging applications in onshore/offshore, the marine and shipboard sector, substation and power distribution, renewable energy, petrochemicals, water and wastewater treatment, mining, and rail transportation.
