Vinyl grips are available from MOCAP in four primary designs

MOCAP offers various types of grips.

MOCAP has manufactured a wider portfolio of industrial protective products than any other company has for more than 40 years. In addition to plugs, caps, and masking solutions, MOCAP customers rely on a family of protective vinyl grips – available in a broad variety of shapes, colours, and sizes for various tasks.

To work for a diverse range of applications, the MOCAP team makes these grips in four designs: double-dip, flat, finger-nub, and round vinyl grips.

No added tooling charges

The MOCAP team employs a vinyl-dip moulding process to produce flexible PVC grips, while encouraging all customers to specify their desired lengths, wall thicknesses, colours, surface textures, and material hardness – all without any added tooling charges. Among the material options for these grips are standard smooth and glossy vinyl or textured vinyl. These materials are flexible but durable, and they can easily stretch onto slightly larger dimensions for tight fits with no splitting, tearing, or shredding. They are also tough, weatherproof, and aesthetically appealing, and MOCAP can easily imprint logos, company names, and more on them.

The DDG series of double-dip vinyl grips offers optimal comfort and durability and is used on a wide range of instruments and hand tools. Features include dual walls for added protection and optional unique colour/material blends. Round vinyl grips come in a traditional round straight-wall style with black as the standard colour, with other colours available on request. These round grips have inner diameters ranging from 4.7 to 117½ millimetres (mm), minimum inside lengths from 39.7 to 395.3 mm, maximum inside lengths from 44½ to 571½ mm, and wall thicknesses from 1.4 to 1.7 mm.

MOCAP’s flat vinyl plastic grips offer secure fits and durability. They are often used as inexpensive covers for protecting items during assembly and shipping, or as single-use masking solutions for painting or coating applications. Lengths can vary from 1½ to eight inches. Black finger-nub grips are built in an ergonomic way for secure, comfortable holds on objects with handles or levels, and they easily fit diameters ranging from 5/8 of an inch to one inch.
