Industrial washing is an important stage in the production finishing process. This essential step ensures that all particulate, organic films, non-volatile residues (i.e., oil and grease), or other surface contamination are removed from the product.

Vibra Finish offers washing and cleaning services, working closely with customers to ensure the right cleaning methods and chemistries are chosen — that perfect combination that maximizes cleaning performance while minimizing the impact to the environment.

The technology: The company's Mississauga, Ont.-based facility is equipped with multiple cleaning technologies, including immersion tanks, vibratory bowls, spray washers, vapour degreasers and more. The company has the capacity and capability to handle both small and large volume production thanks to its wide range of technologies. Robotic transfer capabilities, bulk conveying systems and computer controls give Vibra Finish the capability to handle high volumes at fast throughput rates, while its smaller, hand-operated equipment allows it to manage smaller volumes or more sensitive components.

Another piece of equipment housed within the Vibra Finish facility is a parts washer — a piece of equipment used to remove contaminants or debris from workpieces by cleaning, degreasing and drying bulk loads of small or large parts in preparation for assembly, inspection, surface treatment, packaging and distribution. There are many types of parts washers, from a standalone basket immersion washer to a five-step deburring, aqueous tumbling, rinsing, drying and paint coating machine. The type used depends on the application, and Vibra Finish can help determine the most appropriate choice.

The chemistries: Vibra Finish offers numerous cleaning chemistries, including alkaline cleaners, acidic burnishing compounds, all-purpose solutions, rust inhibitors, and powdered cleaning and abrasive agents. The company also accepts customer-supplied non-toxic cleaning agents for specialty applications, if that's what's preferred.

With an uncompromising focus on quality and customer satisfaction, Vibra Finish works hard to ensure that its mix of technology and chemistries provides the consistent high-quality finished product its customers have come to expect.
