The RP/224 vertical surface broaching machine has a 24-inch stroke, a two-ton capacity, and offers broaching speeds up to 100 feet per minute, and return speeds of 200 feet per minute.

The unit also offers durability and a longer service life thanks to its machine ways, which are constructed of medium carbon and steel coated with Moglice anti-stick bearing surface. The machine has a durable cast iron guide block, and its ram slides are close-grain, high-tensile cast iron, ground to a precise fit.

Additional features include solid-state Allen-Bradley programmable controls, an individual point pressurized lubrication system, and high-performance Vickers pump, valves and controls for reliable “open-loop” hydraulics. A rigid base weldment supports the ram, guide and table assembly while providing the coolant reservoir.

The machine is easy to set up for either automated or hand load applications. No pit or platform is required for operation. Optional features include industrial casters, which can be added for ease in relocating, and a chip removal system.
