Ventilation ducts from IPEX can protect workers and the environment from contaminated air

With a low installed cost in comparison to noncorrosive metallic units, these extruded, seamless PVC and CPVC ducts are recommended for numerous applications – like semiconductors and electronics, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing, pulp and paper, wastewater treatment, and metal plating and finishing. Their light weight enables easy handling and installation with low labour costs, and they offer low maintenance requirements over long service periods.

The PVC ventilation ducts are designed for use in industrial and institutional fume-handling systems that require strong resistance to corrosive vapours. PVC pipe compound has a low flame spread rating of ten as per CAN/ULC S102.2, and it withstands exhaust temperatures as high as 60 degrees Celsius. Its light weight allows longer runs and faster installation with simple tools and piping methods. IPEX recommends PVC ducts for plating, metal finishing, and laboratory installations.

Able to withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 93 degrees Celsius, CPVC ventilation ducts are inert to most mineral acids, bases, slats, and aliphatic hydrocarbons, while comparing favourably to other non-metals in corrosive chemical environments. This makes them perfect for such applications as chemical processing, semiconductor fabrication, metal plating and finishing, pulp and paper, wastewater treatment, and laboratory installations. Transportation and labour costs are reduced due to the low weight.

Corzan^® CPVC ducts come in all standard diameters from six to 16 inches, and the pipe compound offers a low flame spread rating of ten and smoke development classification of 25 according to CAN/ULC S102.2. Corzan^® CPVC compound meets and is listed to FM 4910 “Clean Room Materials Flammability Test Protocol”.
