VariBlast air gun by EXAIR wins PTEN People’s Choice award

Evidence of this reputation came when EXAIR received a 2022 People’s Choice award from Professional Tool and Equipment News (PTEN), for its VariBlast Precision Safety Air Gun.

Remarkable strength for tough applications

For the past eight years, in advance of its Innovation Awards, PTEN has been polling its readers about recent product innovations that make vehicle diagnosis and repair simpler and more efficient and make shops more productive. This year, the publication selected 24 solutions from 24 different manufacturers, including EXAIR, to receive People’s Choice awards based on these poll results. PTEN announced the winners in its October issue.

The VariBlast Precision Safety Air Gun provides a focused blast of air that can handle challenging applications with remarkable strength, while minimizing noise and air consumption. Approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), this device uses an engineered, full-finger, variable flow trigger than can produce varying force on targets with a simple finger pull. The air gun comes with a standard 12- or 20-inch extension that users can outfit with type 316 stainless steel or PEEK thermoplastic air nozzles for non-marring tasks.

The ¼ NPT model of this instrument includes a convenient, built-in hanger loop, and the body is constructed from high-impact acetal thermoplastic. The airflow that exits the nozzle cannot be blocked, which ensures safe operation and complies with the OSHA 1920.242(b) standard. The VariBlast also has a low noise level of 75, well below the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95(a) standard.

All EXAIR Safety Air Guns available have engineered air nozzles for high performance and safety, including Super Air Nozzles with varying force and flow values. They are also available with extension pipes and Chip Shields.
