Vacuum conveying system by EXAIR handles material at high temperatures

EXAIR Corporation has helped many businesses with its Line Vac brand of vacuum conveying system – ideal for moving large volumes of material over long distances without clogging or jamming. The newest incarnation is the High Temperature Line Vac conveyor. Available in 2.5- and three-inch versions, this product converts hose, tube, or pipe into a powerful in-line conveying system for materials as hot as 482 degrees Celsius.

Good for numerous applications

Each Line Vac product is a vacuum conveying system operated by compressed air, which connects to a standard hose to create an innovative in-line material-handling solution – more powerful than belt- or screw-type conveyor equipment. Users can control the material flow rate easily with a pressure regulator, and easy mounting is possible with an optional bracket. In addition, the absence of moving parts and electricity results in maintenance-free operation.

The new High Temperature Line Vac is a low-cost conveyor available with smooth ends to fit into hose or tube. Users can secure this vacuum conveying system with a simple hose clamp; optional NPT threaded ends are also available to mount onto threaded pipe. For maximum throughput capability, the conveyor features a large throat diameter.

High Temperature Line Vac conveyors eject a small amount of compressed air to produce a vacuum on one end, which causes high output flow at the other end. The response is immediate, and users can have unlimited control of the conveying rate by regulating the compressed-air pressure. EXAIR recommends these devices for numerous industrial applications, such as the following: sampling hot flue gases; exhausting fumes; and conveying soot, ashes, salts, and other hot debris. Additional variations are available for hopper loading, scrap trim removal, small-parts transfer, or packaging.

Available in seven different sizes ranging from ¾ of an inch to three inches, the High Temperature Line Vac is made of durable Type 303 or 316 stainless steel, which resists high temperatures, corrosion, and contamination. This product also complies with the CE international safety standard.
