Shock Relays and Power-Locks from Tsubaki help to maximize power transmission.

Tsubaki is proud to offer a range of products designed to help its customers meet requirements for more efficient and reliable machinery. The company’s high-quality power transmission utility (PTU) components enable customers to maximize their power transmission needs and, as a result, reduce costs and increase productivity.

Tsubaki’s selection of PTU component products includes Power-Locks and Shock Relays.

Power-Locks

Power-Locks are designed to offer extreme clamping strength from a keyless locking device, avoiding expensive interruptions in operations that can happen when alternative connection devices are used. These well-engineered and adjustable devices feature a shaft-to-hub friction connection that relies on concentric surface pressure to affix gears, sprockets and other drive components to a motor-driven shaft. This helps to eliminate problems with keyway connections. In addition, the frictional, keyless system enables transmission of high torque and axial loads, and accommodates reversing, dynamic or shock loading. Power-Locks can be used in such applications as the connection of timing pulleys, sheaves, conveyor pulleys, indexing applications, sprockets, gears, cams, levers, motors, hydraulics, clutches, brakes and flange couplings.

Shock Relays

Tsubaki’s Shock Relays and external current transformers help customers avoid unexpected shock loads that can damage chains, drives, gears, turbines or the entire mechanical assembly. When the shock relay detects a problem, it quickly, safely and securely shuts down the line, and then resets at the touch of a button once the problem is corrected. The result: improved efficiency and reduced downtime.

An industry leader

Tsubaki has built a reputation for its cutting-edge technology. The company manufactures many different types, sizes and varieties of drive, conveyor and engineered class chain, as well as sprockets and power transmission utility components.
