Tsubaki-Kabelschlepp has been providing long travel cable and hose systems to a variety of industries and applications for more than 50 years — that’s more than five decades of experience, industry and application knowledge. The company leverages this knowledge to give customers the best solution possible for their specific application, whether that’s a 40-foot light industrial travel system or a 300-foot long travel harsh environment system.

Its product offering includes proven products like:

  • The Uniflex Advanced mono style plastic series cable carriers for a wide range of applications;
  • The M series hybrid style cable carriers for long travel lengths, high speeds and high accelerations; and
  • The Varitrak S steel carrier systems, which are very rugged and capable of handling extreme temperatures.

The company also carries guide channel and rail systems for long travel applications, a full line of continuous bending/high flex cables for all types of environments, as well as a wide range of accessories, like strain relief components and floating tow arms.

With a full selection of cable and hose carriers, cables and accessories, Tsubaki-Kabelschlepp can supply a full system ready for installation. And it’s trained and knowledgeable staff can make sure the system meets every requirement for the customer.

In extreme applications where the tow forces need to be minimized and the speeds exceed the standard systems ratings, for example, the company’s Roller Supported Chain (RSC) system with integrated rollers in the side bands, along with special channel/guides, can be used. This system can also reduce tension and thrust by up to 90 per cent.

In situations where special materials are required due to environmental or safety needs, the company can provide carriers rated for ATEX, ESD, flame retardant, low temperatures or high temperatures.

The Tsubaki-Kabelschlepp head office in Germany recently installed a fully automated outdoor testing facility to ensure the highest standards of its cable carriers. The facility — the only fully automated test facility of its kind in the world — tests gliding and rolling systems with travel lengths of more than 100 metres, as well as high-speed applications at five metres/second, in real-life harsh conditions.

To learn more about its long travel cable and hose systems, and how the testing facility ensures their quality, contact Tsubaki-Kabelschlepp.
