Tsubaki is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017 with the launch of its eighth generation of drive chains — the G8 Series. Using its century of know-how to upgrade these drive chains, Tsubaki now offers the G8 Series with higher functionality and quality.

The Series

The improved G8 Neptune Series Chain uses a new surface treatment that offers increased corrosion resistance against both water and alkaline chemicals, which are often used for cleaning and disinfecting food equipment. This enables these chains to meet the needs of more applications than ever before.

Improvements have also been made to Tsubaki’s Lambda Chain. The company has upgraded the lubricant and the special oil-impregnated bushings to use NSF H1 food-grade oil, which gives the chain double the wear life of the previous model. It also enables the chain to be used with food equipment.

The new G8 Heavy-Duty Chain is the first upgrade to this product series since its launch in 1966. To increase the handleability of the heavy-duty RS-HT roller chain, which features higher tensile strength, the company introduced slip-fit connecting links and solid bushings. This gives these chains twice the wear life of the previous series. Improvements have also been made to the Super Chain and Super-H Chain models. The maximum allowable load for the Super Chain has increased five to 10 per cent over the previous version, while it has increased 20 per cent for the Super-H Chain.

Additional details

All of the models in this series use a new anti-rust pre-lubricant that minimizes tackiness and improves wear life by 20 per cent. This also improves the performance of the chains, and makes them easier to handle.

G8 Series chains are manufactured using the same high-tech equipment and with the same quality and care that Tsubaki has earned a reputation for over the last century. To learn more, contact Tsubaki of Canada.
