chains and bushings

Chains by Tsubaki have innovative bushings and rollers.

Manufacturers around the world have relied on Tsubaki products for more than a century – including Canadian businesses, through Tsubaki of Canada. One of the advantages of Tsubaki chains and bushings is their high strength, superior to that offered by any other chain producer. In addition, customers know that they get units with longer operational lifespans from the company – which translates into long-term cost savings and profit.

Greater durability at high speeds

The strength and long operational life of Tsubaki chains and bushings come from several factors. First, each chain uses a precision riveting process that helps it to withstand high side load impacts. Next, every connecting link of a Tsubaki chain has an exclusive patented ring coining with a fatigue strength equal to that of the chain itself – which means there is never any loss in strength.

Another significant strength of Tsubaki chains is their long-lasting solid rollers, which provide greater fatigue life and durability and high speeds. In addition, all chain links have wide waist link plates that offer a tensile strength and a maximum allowable load that exceeds ASME (ANSI) standards – so users can increase productivity without risking equipment breakdown.

The unique Tsubaki two-pitch offset link provides more substantial benefits. Each is a blend of a roller link and an offset link. With typical single-pitch offset links, cottered slip-fit pins are used to assemble the link into the chain, which results in a 35 per cent lost of strength. But the two-pitch offset link uses a press-fit, quad-riveted pin for size 35 and higher, to keep the chain strong.

A recent innovation by Tsubaki is the PerforMax bushing. Using advanced technology, the Tsubaki team has combined the reliability of a solid bushing with the company’s own unique patented lube grooves on the inner surface. The result is a bushing that increases chain life by 34 per cent.

Tsubaki makes a broad range of other bushings for sprockets and pulleys, in a variety of sizes and bore sizes. When strength and extended life matter, trust Tsubaki chains and bushings.
