Sandpiper’s TSA2 pumps are available in different sizes and options. They come in ball check valve designs from one to three inches, as well as a two-inch flap check valve design for line-size solids handling. Their flow capacities range from zero to 235 gallons per minute, and the one-, 1½- and two-inch sizes come with sanitary clamp fittings, while the three-inch version is available with an ANSI flange.

This special-duty metallic pump is constructed out of FDA-compliant material components of stainless steel (wetted castings) and a selection of FDA Santoprene, FDA Nitrile, and PTFE diaphragms, check valves, and valve seats. The standard non-wetted components are made of white epoxy-coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Specifically, electropolished 316 and 302/304 stainless steel is used for these components.

Porting options available for the TSA2 include rotatable manifolds and top or bottom discharge. Other specifications for this pump: air distribution valve with no-lube, no-stall design; solids handling of up to 50 millimetres; heads up to 125 pounds per square inch (psi), or 88 metres of water; displacement/stroke of 0.38 litres; maximum operating pressure of 125 psi; and shipping weight of 60 kilograms.

The TSA2 comes with a five-year limited product warranty for defects in material or workmanship. The manufacturer recommends that customers use only genuine Sandpiper parts, as guarantees are invalidated by the use of other producers’ service parts.
