Dobco carries Trumpf TruTool nibblers.

Trumpf power tools are available to Canadian businesses through Dobco Equipment Ltd. – including the innovative TruTool line of nibblers. These tools can cut sheet metal of varying levels of thickness without emitting any dust, gas, or smoke. With TruTool nibblers, users can cut metal with no feed force, distortion, or sparks. Trumpf nibbling tools are the perfect choice for many tasks, such as plumbing, tank assembly, tank dismantling, and coil cutting.

Easy and comfortable to use

Nibbling is a metal-cutting method using a punch and die to cut sheet metal quickly. Punched bits fall out in chips as the die holder absorbs the punching force. Trumpf TruTool nibblers are easy to use and comfortable on the hands; each tool has a hollow round punch for 360-degree rotations on the spot and enables a clear view of the work surface. These nibblers can cut sheets with thicknesses from 0.13 to 0.4 of an inch, depending on the tool design.

Dobco supplies three types of TruTool nibblers:

  • TruTool N 500 – for cutting steel sheets with thicknesses of up to one-fifth of an inch and aluminum of up to 0.28 of an inch. Ideal for dismantling tanks and containers. The N 500 cuts in four directions, even backwards, and is perfect for material that bends up to right angles. Recommended for cutting coils, this nibbler weighs less than four kilograms and is easy to manoeuvre horizontally or vertically.
  • TruTool N 700 – also perfect for dismantling tanks and containers. This nibbler weighs less than seven kilograms and can handle steel as thick as 0.28 of an inch, plus aluminum of up to 0.4 of an inch thick. The two exchangeable grips allow users to reach difficult spots, in different angles and positions, in various tasks.
  • TruTool N 1000 – designed to cut steel with thicknesses of up to 0.39 of an inch, as well as aluminum that is close to ½ an inch thick. The two-speed drive enables much faster cutting, but the TruTool N 1000 can cut thick sheets at low speeds too.
