The facility also contains more than 100 multi-spindle screw machines, CNC machines, and a full secondary-operations department. But having the equipment is just the beginning. Driven by a commitment to make quality products and deliver them promptly, L. & M. is constantly upgrading its equipment and improving its processes. L. & M. features a fully equipped Quality Assurance Lab to support every aspect of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and its requirements. All gauges and equipment are calibrated and are traceable to the SI (International System of Units) through NIST and NRC. The wide range of supporting equipment includes optical comparators, hardness testers, profilometers, Z-mikes, and eddy-current testing comparators. The experienced team can perform a “set” that includes first article inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection. They are also familiar with PPAP procedures including Control Plan, FMEA, and Process Flow Charts.
