bevellers

Dobco carries three models of Trumpf bevellers.

Dobco Equipment supplies an unsurpassed range of assembly equipment for Canadian businesses, including a wide lineup of Trumpf tools. Trumpf’s bevellers offer a cost-effective way to achieve high-quality weld seams. The manufacturer has designed them to ensure even, oxide-free, and metallically smooth edges on flat sheet metal, tubes, interior cut-outs, and curves.

These tools by Trumpf are strong assets in machine, railway-car, ship, and steel construction applications, plus in job shops for sheet-metal processing and metalworking shops.

A fast working speed

Trumpf bevellers come with many key advantages. First, they enable users to prepare great weld seams in a single operation with no need for rework; perfect, metallically free K, V, X, and Y edges result from cutting of edges free from emissions and oxides. Precise surface roughness and oxide-free surfaces lead to highly durable weld connections, which creates better seams. With the beveller’s fast working speed, the user can progress quickly. Finally, the cutting tools can be reground many times and can be exchanged with no additional tools required, resulting in long operational lifespans.

Three models of Trumpf bevellers are available from Dobco:

  • TruTool TKA 500. This is a three-cutter tool system with bevel angles of 30, 45, and 60 degrees. The TKA 500 can accommodate radius edges, and optional cutter mounts for 15 to 55 degrees are available too. At 8½ pounds, this is Trumpf’s lightest model, with a working speed of ten feet per minute.
  • TruTool TKF 700. With this 12-pound model, users can adjust the bevel height and sheet thickness with no additional tools. It includes mounting brackets for bevel angles of 30, 37½, or 45 degrees. Working speed of five feet per minute.
  • TruTool TKF 1500. This tool has a bevelling angle that is easy to adjust from 20 to 55 degrees. It is Trumpf’s heaviest beveller model, at 36 pounds, with a working speed of 6½ feet per minute.
