The Bridge Tote Mixer

This mixer, also called BTM, is designed for the technical mixing of plastic totes in the chemical industry. The bridge-mounting design allows for heavy-duty mixing up to 40,000 cycles per second, while the collapsible impeller technology enables the tote to also be used as part of the customer’s product processing when mixing isn’t taking place.

BTM’s wetted parts are made of stainless steel. The unit is available in ¼- to three-horsepower electric or air drive types, with a totally enclosed, fan-cooled, high-efficiency or explosion-proof motor. Additional options include a gear, direct or variable-speed drive, and a lid or bridge mount for high viscosity applications. Forklift attachments are available, in addition to adjustable brackets to suit the customer’s tank and tote.

Collapsible impeller technology

Multiple blades are available to target certain tote mixing issues. These blades offer optimal mixing, low shear, low speed mixing and high efficiency mixing. There are configurations to optimize mixing in tote corners, and designs that enable vigorous mixing at low speeds.
