FEIN’s fully automatic two-speed magnetic core drill, the KBM 50 Auto, has the ability to save users time and money thanks to a digitally controlled drill feed and low weight. The two-speed motor has electronic speed control that allows the speed setting to be changed to suit the material or application, such as tapping. Add to that the fact that it’s easy to use and has a long life, and it’s not hard to see why this is a must-have tool for workshops, construction sites and any application where a magnetic core drill is useful.

1. Automatic, digitally controlled drill feed

The KBM 50 Auto’s automatic drill feed provides repetitive drilling times and constant work progress in all common materials, and is the only digitally controlled drill feed on the market. Reproducible and cyclical drilling times allow work to be planned, which saves a lot of time and money for contract and serial work. Automatic operation also reduces the user's physical workload and increases cutter life and productivity.

2. Lightweight and compact

The drill’s compact design and low weight (35.6 lbs) allows for use on the construction site or in the workshop, and makes it the lightest magnetic core drill with automatic feed on the market.

3. Easy to use and long life

Core bits can be quickly and easily replaced without the need for a wrench due to its tool-free QuickIN quick-change system. And, like all magnetic core drills in the FEIN KBM range, the speed-stable, high-power motor is designed for long life and high performance, which guarantees cost-effective drilling. The drill motor cable is positioned centrally and reduces the risk of getting caught or snagging on the workpiece. It also has a 30-mm longer and reinforced drill motor guide for more precision, and an intuitive operating panel in the user's direct line of sight. The double drill motor guide gives the tools the largest stroke range on the market. And the stroke range can be adjusted without the help of tools, using two clamping levers on the drill motor side. FEIN has incorporated a gravity-driven cooling lubrication system in the drill jig of the KBM 50 Auto, which can be removed without the need for tools. The permanent cooling extends the tool life and results in better cutting performance.

The KBM 50 Auto rounds off the KBM series from FEIN, the core drilling specialist.
