When Matritech was founded back in 1989, die design and fabrication was a major component of the business. Though the company has evolved over the last 25-plus years, adding additional capabilities along the way, tooling remains a strong part of its offering.

In-house capability

Matritech manufactures a wide range of dies in-house. This ensures quality control over its process and products from start to finish. It has the capacity to handle parts of all shapes, sizes and volumes using progressive or manual transfer dies.

Progressive dies, for example, are used for high-volume parts production. Continuously fed through a metal coil, the tool progressively creates each part by moving the material from station to station automatically. The result is a highly effective process that lowers the cost of parts.

Manual transfer dies, on the other hand, are a more economical choice for metal sheet bending short-runs. This method requires the user to manually transfer parts from one stage to the next inside the die. It is also the preferred method for complex and/or deep parts.

For customers who require oversized parts, complex geometric shapes or fine details, Matritech’s design team will find solutions to meet customer requirements.

Regardless of the method chosen, tooling is always approved by the client and delivered with the required documentation (i.e., PPAP and FAI).

A leading manufacturer

Matritech offers completely integrated processes, from design to fabrication, and even has the capability to conduct various on-site tests and inspections. It offers tool manufacturing and metal parts production for clients under the same roof. Its services include laser cutting and CNC punching, robotic and CNC bending, robotic and manual welding, stamping, CNC machining, extrusion, assembly and coating. Add to this the company’s efficient and courteous customer service and technical support, and it’s no wonder that Matritech has built a solid reputation for its high-quality products and meticulous team.
